Good friend, good times

It's become a tradition for my oldest, dearest friends and I to meet once a year. Nothing too fancy because coordinating schedules is near impossible. Unless its a milestone birthday year, we generally meet in Carbondale (about halfway). Carbondale has everything we need...a little shopping, a few tasty restaurants, and a place to stay. There is nothing like good friends to listen, compare kids/husband stories, laugh, and cry with. This year we discovered that it isn't uncommon for any if us to be in the shower and not be able to recall if we've washed our hair or not but we can remember all the words to our favorite song or movie.

I see the makings of a Lifetime original movie. six schoolfriends get together for a girls weekend. As the weekend progreses we find out each one is dealing with a major event in their life. Each one is worked through individually and collectively as a group. Many laughs and tears are shed as each one resolves or comes to terms with the problems they are facing, and they commit to life with renewed strength gained by the power of women supporting other women.
