Much Needed Update

I decided to dust the 'ol blog off to use it to track and share the building of our new home. I thought we needed a new blog design to freshen things up a bit.

To catch everyone up: we sold our house, have moved to a 2 bedroom rental house, and are building a new house. We moved to our rental last weekend and started school on Monday. Busy weekend! We spent this week jumping through hoops to secure our building permit. It seems like every goverment agency had their hand out...septic permit, storm water permit, water tap fee, temporary electric hook-up, etc. Next week the real action begins with running the water line, electric, and cutting the drive. I can't wait!!

I'm not sure how I feel. I'm so confused. Part of me wants to celebrate like a man living on borrowed time rejoices the dawning of a new day. However, my enthusiasm is tempered with the knowledge that this blog like life is fleeting and will one day end. I guess like life I'll enjoy each new post like you live everyday to the fullest and not dwell on the fact that once again you will abandon us like a crying baby left bundled on the steps of the orphanage. This is truly the winter of my discontent.

Mark, I believe you have a novel in there somewhere. Write, brother, write!

Sure, but I think punctuation would help. I could base my book on a "Special Agent". No not a life taking jet setting maverick saving the world from terrorists. I'm thinking more along the lines of a chubby out of shape mentally challenged insurance agent who must try not to soil himself while filing. Get it Special agent...oh nevermind.

*sorry, I'm all hoped up on cheese brats and chocolate cake.*

I've just seen the blog and was going back through pictures and comments and Mark, I'm with Michelle, there's a Dave Barry/John Steinbech/GM just crying inside you to let him out and pour his thoughts on paper. Let it out, just let it out. Start with a blog - because I'm thinking you could win a Pulitzer. You kill me!
