Gabe played his first ballgame today. The Pirates won 16-5. He made two great plays at shortstop and hit a shot up the middle to get on base. After the game he told us that he was nervous before the game. He said, "I had tingles in my tummy".

Tell Gabe that I was always a Pirates fan. Showing my age, I remember the first major side arm pitcher, Kent Teculve (spelling??). What's funnier is that my friend MaryJo, who lives in Pittsburgh, about fell out of her chair when we were talking about this months ago. She and her husband had run into him at a local restaurant. She was amazed that I remembered that - she and I are showing our age!! Go GABE!!
