It was a great Christmas spent with family and friends. Gifts aside, my favorite memories have to be singing karaoke (Martha--you and I rocked on Fergalicious) and playing dirty santa.
Scott and the boys are concerned because I am proudly displaying the animal print purse lamp I "stole" playing dirty santa. For some reason they keep unplugging it. I've posted a picture of it above so you can tell me if it's a keeper or not.
Jacob and Mark stole the show with the self portraits they entered in the dirty santa game. I shouldn't say they stole the show, since Joseph actually did steal his entry. Shame on you Joseph.
Thank you all for such a Merry Christmas!

Merry is correct. A great time was had by all. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts. And yes, the purse/lamp is definately you!
For the record; I feel the use of the purse lamp in our house offers me an unconditional license to decorate the bonus room in any manly, antlery, animal skin, hunting regalia way.
If you choose to discard the lamp; I may not put the stuffed possum on the ledge over the stairs. . . . .
ps--one of the best Christmas' ever! I really enjoy Michelle's family and my family all in the same "bunch". Got more cool stuff than I deserve and realized all over again how blessed Michelle, Jacob, Jared, Gabe, and I really are!
steal is a harsh word, I think the people that we got it from wanted to share the spirit a little since they had two of them. I like to think they donated it to a good cause... But i do belive the game was called "Dirty Santa", so not sure how much dirtier it could have been!
First, the lamp - if St. Michelle (and by the way, your vineyard produces an incredible champaigne out in Washington state) - sorry,I digress...IF she has to put up with all those dead animals watching her, she should be able to line the remainder of the houses in those "interesting" purse lamps.
I think it might look kind of neat hanging from an antler - you might go for that kind of look? Manly, yet fru fru?? It's a mesh of both personalities!!
Secondly, it is always a wonderful time at your house - family and friends - it doesn't get any better.
Lastly, there's some poor child and a lonely snow-woman somewhere, wondering where their beloved snowman is. I can't believe the Grinch/Grinchess went to such lengths to steal the show - but, I still say - the photos of Mark and Jacob - are some of the memories that my therapist is still trying to banish.
Leave it to Michelle to make a leopard print purse lamp look elegant. But it does ! We all had a wonderful time Christmas night and look forward to many more. I have been nice on the "dirty santa" gifts, but don't know if I can stay "clean" in the future. Please, someone........help me?
