Kindness Campaign

At church yesterday, our pastor challenged the congregation to join him in a campaign for kindness. He encouraged us to extend these random acts of kindness beyond our family and friends to people we don't know. That's not to say we can be mean to those we love, but to extend a kindness that would be out of the ordinary. He explained that spreading the love of God doesn't have to be some huge momentous event, but it's one act of kindness at a time. I liked the thought of that...250+/- people in our community surprising strangers with NICE. I hope that those strangers will in turn surprise another. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the idea Shell. I tried it yesterday. I picked a random lady at the grocery store and followed her home to help her unload her groceries. When I started grabbing bags out of her trunk she pepper sprayed me and hit me with a frozen turkey. I guess some people just don't get it.

Let me know if you need bail money. . . . . .

You know keeping bail money set aside for me is always a good idea. My law breaking ways started early by being taught to put pennies on the rails. It's been a downward spiral ever since.

GM - been a long time, guess you've been in the big house because you were a little low on bail money and used that one phone call to call the grocery store to hold onto your sushi - BUT, I'm betting you'll be on the prayer list this week at church due to the grocery incident!

However, I do like the idea - so, as my random act of kindness - I will say out loud and from the roof tops that I have one of the best families, both immediate and extended that anyone could ever have. Love you all (and no, I'm not drinking).
